The Loiselle family: an integral part of village life

The Loiselle family has deep roots in the village of Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan in Québec’s Minganie region, where our ancestors were among the village’s original inhabitants. Our main goal is to offer our guests a memorable stay in a stunning natural setting, where they can wake up to the music of the waves and the sound of whales surfacing.

Spurred on by Parks Canada in the spring of 1986, the Loiselle family created the Boutique des ÃŽles Campground Store and Camping de la Minganie, a 15-site semi-serviced campground. They have since added 85 fully serviced sites, 12 fully equipped trailers and 4 fully equipped cabins, as well as a number of sanitary blocks.

In the summer of 1988, the first trips to the Mingan Islands were offered using a type of craft locals call a ‘Speeder’. In the spring of 1995, Les Entreprises touristiques Loiselle launched a partnership with Parks Canada; that's when the trips really took off!

In order to respond to our customers’ needs, we opened the Condos de la Mer in 1999. These fully equipped condo units, with stunning views of the sea, are available year-round.

The Loiselle family is proud of the investments it has made in new infrastructure and equipment, as well as upgrading and expanding their fleet of boats. We’re proud of these improvements, and of the connections we’ve made to the community, the region, the Côte-Nord and its visitors.
